Working With Developers—and Building First-Hand Experience

Practical experience on both sides of the project table.

Jim Isherwood’s development background is not limited to listing completed homes. On certain projects, he participated directly as a developer, providing first-hand experience with land, construction, pricing, absorption and the practical decisions involved in bringing new housing to market.

For most projects in this archive, Jim and Brookside Realty worked on behalf of the developer to market and sell newly constructed properties. This created practical experience on both sides of a project: understanding what the developer needed to achieve and what purchasers needed to know before buying.

An Archive That Continues to Grow

Brookside Realty has operated since 1982, while Jim Isherwood’s real estate career began in 1969. Many early project sales occurred before comprehensive digital MLS® reporting, and some new homes were sold through private project marketing and presale appointments rather than being individually entered on MLS®.
