Privacy Policy

How we handle the personal information you share with Royal LePage Brookside Realty.

Effective date: August 14, 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

Royal LePage Brookside Realty (Brookside Realty Ltd.) is a family-owned real estate brokerage and property management company operating from 11933 224th Street, Maple Ridge, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website (brooksiderealty.ca), why we collect it, who helps us process it, and how you can reach us about it. It is intended to describe our practices under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other applicable Canadian privacy law. It is a description of our practices, not a legal guarantee or legal advice.

This policy covers the pages on brooksiderealty.ca. It does not cover separate systems you may sign in to (such as our tenant and owner portals), third-party websites we link to, or the practices of other brokerages and service providers you deal with directly.

2. What we collect through this website

When you send us an inquiry through a form on this site, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, if you provide one;
  • the message you write;
  • the inquiry type you selected (for example buying, selling, landlord, tenant or investor) and the page you submitted from, so the right person follows up;
  • your IP address, browser/user-agent, submission timestamp and the page you came from, to help prevent spam, protect the site, troubleshoot problems and keep a reliable record of each lead.

Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Our newsletter is a separate, explicit sign-up (see section 4).

We do not ask for financial information, government identification or documents through this website. Please do not send sensitive documents through a website form — we will arrange a secure method when your file requires it.

3. Why we use it

  • to respond to your inquiry and answer your questions;
  • to provide the real estate or property management services you asked about, and to follow up on that request;
  • to keep records of the inquiries we receive and how we responded;
  • to protect the website against spam, abuse and security problems;
  • to operate, maintain and improve the website;
  • to meet legal, regulatory and business record-keeping requirements that apply to a licensed BC brokerage.

We use your information only for these reasonable purposes. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Consent, and how marketing is different

When you submit an inquiry, you are consenting to us contacting you about that inquiry and providing the service you asked about. That is the purpose we collect it for, and we tell you so on the form itself.

Marketing and newsletter email is separate and requires its own explicit sign-up. Our newsletter form is provided by Constant Contact, and only people who complete that sign-up are added to a mailing list. If your email address is already in our contact records, an inquiry does not change your existing subscription status or mailing list memberships. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or by contacting us directly — withdrawing marketing consent does not affect our ability to respond to an active inquiry or service file.

5. Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of established providers to run this website and handle inquiries. They may process personal information on our behalf, limited to what they need to provide their service:

  • Lovable — website hosting and application runtime.
  • Supabase — the database where website inquiries are stored.
  • Resend — sends the internal email notification to our team when an inquiry arrives.
  • Constant Contact — our contact management (CRM) and newsletter platform. Inquiry contacts are recorded as business contact records; newsletter subscribers are added only through the separate newsletter sign-up.
  • RealtyNinja — powers the MLS® listing search tools embedded on our listing and community pages.
  • Webflow — hosts the articles shown in our Knowledge Centre.
  • Greater Vancouver REALTORS® Stats Centre — provides the market statistics embedded on our market report and community pages.
  • Google Maps — provides the embedded map on our contact page.
  • Elfsight — displays our Google reviews.

Embedded tools such as listing search, statistics, maps and review widgets load directly from those providers when you view the page. Their own privacy practices apply to that interaction, and they may see technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of delivering the embedded content.

6. Information processed outside British Columbia

Some of the providers above are not based in British Columbia, and personal information may be stored or processed outside the province, including outside Canada. When that happens, the information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is held, including lawful access requests by authorities in that jurisdiction. We choose established providers and limit what we share with them to what is needed for the purpose described in this policy.

7. Cookies and analytics

This website does not run an analytics or advertising tracking platform, and we do not set advertising or profiling cookies of our own. The only cookie our own code sets is a short-lived, single-use security token used when we connect our contact management system — it is not used to track visitors.

Third-party content embedded on our pages (listing search, market statistics, maps, review and newsletter widgets) may set its own cookies or similar technologies under the provider's terms. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking them may stop some embedded tools from working.

8. How we protect and how long we keep information

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information — including access controls on our systems, encrypted connections for website submissions, and limiting access to team members who need it to do their work. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and information sent over the internet always carries some risk.

We keep inquiry information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and for as long as we are required to keep records for legal, regulatory and legitimate business reasons. After that, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

9. Access, correction and privacy questions

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used and who it has been disclosed to, and you can ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete. Write to our Privacy Contact and we will respond within the timelines applicable law requires. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing information, and there are limited circumstances where the law allows or requires us to withhold some of it — we will explain if that applies.

10. Links to other websites

This site links to services and websites we do not control — including our tenant and owner portals, our Knowledge Centre articles, REALTOR.ca, board statistics pages and social media profiles. Once you leave brooksiderealty.ca, the privacy policy and terms of that site or service apply instead of ours.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website, services or providers change. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated. Please also read our Terms of Use & MLS® Disclaimer.
