Royal LePage Brookside Realty is a family-owned real estate and property management office in downtown Maple Ridge, serving Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Mission and the wider Fraser Valley.

Our Story

Our office has served downtown Maple Ridge as a real estate brokerage since 1969, and has been owned by Jim Isherwood since 1982. That continuity is unusual in this industry — more than forty years of the same family answering the phone, holding the licences and standing behind the advice.

Located across from City Hall, Brookside combines licensed REALTORS®, brokers and property managers under a single roof. It is a rare mix that lets us support a client through an entire property journey: buying a first home, investing in a rental, placing and caring for tenants, and eventually selling with the full history of the property already on file. President’s Club — Top 1% Recognition

MLS® Medallion Club and President’s Club are distinct levels of recognition in the Greater Vancouver program. Medallion Club recognizes high annual production; President’s Club has been described in published program materials as representing approximately the top 1% of Greater Vancouver REALTORS® and Board members.

For Jim Isherwood’s history, Brookside relies on Board documentation for the actual qualification years. Plaques are identified by performance year — the year following “Combined Listings and Sales” — with the presentation date treated as secondary archival detail.

The President’s Club record used here includes performance years 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1995 and 2008. Surviving individual plaques are selected documentation, not a complete collection; some physical awards have been lost over the decades.

The Realty World–Brookside Years

Before becoming Royal LePage Brookside Realty, Brookside operated under the Realty World banner. Surviving awards from this period document both individual and brokerage achievements in British Columbia.

Realty World–Brookside was recognized as the office with the Highest Production in the British Columbia Region for 1995/96 and again for 1996/97.

Surviving 1996 awards also recognize Jim Isherwood as a British Columbia Region Production Leader and Listings Leader.

New Development Experience

For more than four decades, Jim Isherwood and Brookside Realty have worked with residential developments throughout Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, including apartment buildings, conventional and street-oriented townhomes, duplex and triplex-style communities, and single-family projects.

Jim Isherwood

Broker/Owner & REALTOR®

Jim has owned Royal LePage Brookside Realty since 1982, guiding the office through more than four decades of Fraser Valley market cycles. He bought a brokerage that had already served downtown Maple Ridge since 1969 and built it into a family-run business known locally for straight answers and long-term relationships.

His work spans residential sales, investment property, land and development opportunities, and the brokerage oversight that keeps Brookside's sales and property management sides working as one team. Many of Jim's clients are second- and third-generation — families he first helped buy a starter home now list with him decades later.

Nicole Isherwood

Associate Broker, REALTOR® & Licensed Rental Property Manager

Nicole represents the second generation of the Isherwood family at Brookside. She works with buyers and sellers across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows and leads the client side of the property management division, supporting landlords, out-of-area owners and tenants day to day.

Her focus is practical, well-documented service: honest pricing conversations, careful tenant placement, and clear communication from the first phone call through to completion or the end of a tenancy.
